We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Service Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, completing maintenance tasks, and ensuring equipment or systems operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, systems, or machinery as assigned.
- Perform preventive maintenance to help reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Diagnose technical issues using appropriate tools, testing methods, and service procedures.
- Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future service.
- Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and team members regarding service status and completed work.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Order or request parts and materials as needed to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the organization professionally.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or related training preferred.
- Previous experience in service, maintenance, repair, or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, service instructions, or work orders.
- Basic computer skills for documenting service activities and using company systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks associated with field or shop work.
- Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on the role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using diagnostic tools, meters, hand tools, and specialized service equipment.
- Experience working in a field service, facilities, industrial, HVAC, automotive, or equipment maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and service documentation systems.
